Common opener failures: stripped main gear (clicking but no motion), blown logic board (no response from remote or wall button), misaligned safety sensors (door won't close), worn drive belt or chain. We carry LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Genie gear kits, logic boards and sensor sets on the truck.
Belt-drive (LiftMaster 8550W, Chamberlain B6753) runs quietest — best when there's a bedroom over the garage. Chain (LiftMaster 8160W) is the workhorse for detached garages. Screw (Genie SilentMax) holds up in Toronto temperature swings. We mount the rail, set limits, sync sensors, pair remotes and Wi-Fi, walk you through the app.
Battery backup is now code in California and a smart move everywhere — door still opens during an outage. We retrofit LiftMaster 8500W battery packs to compatible models, or replace older openers with myQ/Aladdin Connect Wi-Fi units for phone control and open/close alerts.
